Played here 1-15-10 while on an emergency golf trip to get out of frigid and snowy conditions at home. Pines is aptly, if somewhat conventionally, named: there are a gaziliion pine trees on the course. Conditions were typical of the season: fairways all beige (hard to spot your ball from any distance), bunkers solid, tee boxes frozen, and greens very inconsistent (some were pretty scarred up, too). Design is nice, and probably very interesting in better weather. Course is pretty wet: lots of puddles and casual water, much more than I'd have expected. A couple of really cool holes: #9 is especially visually intimidating, with water all the way down the right side, and a fairway that slopes left-to-right. Good luck with that one. Pro shop is OK, snack bar is excellent. Staff was very cordial and helpful. Course is walkable, if so inclined. I'd receommend it.
